I have recently rebuilt www.KirbsideWebDevelopment.comto make it more user friendly and easier to navigate. I highly reccomend that you check it out! We now even have our own server where we are hosting our new help desk system.

Our new server is an ASUS A8N-E with 3GB RAM and an AMD Athlon 64 processor. He has a gigabit network connection integrated and we are in negotiations to move him to a data center with a fractional T1 connection.

Email is pretty great… Here is a great tip for your family’s email. You can buy a domain (ours is kirbyfam.com) and give everyone email addresses at that domain. Then the hole family has matching emails! Example (these emails are fake):

sally@kirbyfam.com

Want to backup your PCs and share media on your network. Then, I think that Windows Home Server is for you. I use one in my home, and we love having it. I can stream movies both across my home network and on the web. It has all kinds of neat stuff and add-ons. And, you can get it on an HP MediaSmart server for around $500. So check it out.
